Dissertation outlining plans for "la conduci de Agua del Rio Jamapa [a] la Nueva ciudad de Veracruz, para el Nuevo Proyecto que Don Miguel Vendrell y Puig presento a [V]SS. en su Disertacn Mathematica que [en] el Cabildo celebrado en cuarto de Septiembre de mil setecientos noventa cuatro mandaron reserb para tenerla presenta a su tiempo" / [the transport of water from the Rio Jamapa to the new city of Varacruz, for the new project that Don Miguel Vendrell y Puig presented to [V]SS. in his mathematical dissertation which, [in] the town council/hall held on September 4th, 1794, [was kept to be presented at its alotted time?]]. He begins by expressing thanks for "la poderosa [reccomendaci?] que me hiso el Caballero Procurador Gener Don [?] Lagoa de Miranda a fin deque recopilara algunos pensamientos utiles para la Conducion de Agua a esta Ciudad" / [the powerful [recommendation?] given to me by Attorney General Don [?] Lagoa de Miranda so that I could compile some useful ideas for the transport of water to this city]. Mentions the "Caballero Don Pedro [G]orostisa que en paz descanse" / [Caballero Don Pedro [G]orostisa who rests in peace]. Claims, "mi Maquina Ydraulica ... se puede conducir el Agua con suma facilidad" / [my hydraulic machine ... can transport the water with extreme ease]. Claims that a project for transporting water should meet "estas circumstancias: 1a Breve, 2a Barata, 3a Segura, 4a Facil de Limpiar, Registrar, Componer, y Limpia" / [these circumstances: 1a Short, 2a Cheap, 3a Secure, 4a Easy to Clean, [Check/Register], Put Together, and Clean]. Includes drawings for a portion of the machine.
