most unusual man, & we are more than fortunate to have him. Of course Mr. Charley is a perfect dear, & we are devoted to him. They stayed until about half past ten, when Mr. Charley's train was due.

Sat. Feb. 22nd

I was busy all morning, and E was out most of the morning doing her marketing. Cornelia came down for us this afternoon in the car, to take us up to the club, to play in the bridge tournament. Helen, Olive, Edith and I played together but made low scores. Eric came up to the club late, and came home with us for dinner. I had promised to go up to Cornelia's to-night to play bridge with her, & Olive and Mrs. Langridge, so Eric walked up with me, and then he and Edith went to the vaudeville.
