                    July 1919.
Going home does indeed seem
a reality at last, Hear 1" train
to leave on 16" being 2 that day
then 4 daily afterwards till
completion, all of which sounds
good.
Much rejoicing naturally - all
anxious to be on the way -
Mail evidently being held up as
none received for past week.
Impressions of Army have
not improved on closer ac-
quaintance. Reg. being about
the poorest conducted institu-
tion I can think of both as to
methods of administration &
and control.
9" Turned in salvage yesterday.
Busy with paper-work, inspec-
tions +c. Hear today that San.
train is to entrain on 16", a 3
day trip to Brest & probably
there for 48 hrs. before embark-
ing, which sure sounds
good.  Continued rainy weather
13" Entraining orders in today
San. Tr. to leave from Engers
on Thursday 17 at 5 P.M.
No 1 Amb. Co. left behind -
One Co. 23" Inf. on same train.
