Sunday. cloudy day. stayed in bed late
went for mail. lunched with Post girls
heard band concert by 136th Engineers
Went to Camp. had some fine talks
with the lads. so discouraged about going
home. Long service. talk movies
& served chocolate to 500 men.
Jan. 17 Feb
Pleasant day at canteen. bought some
Quimper pottery. Splendid dance
in evening.
Feb. 18
Cloudy day canteen in morning. Pauline &
I lunched at new place Strawberry Inn
Good. went over to Navy Commissary
walked across bridge to old Brest
Cannot imagine any place any
more quaint. Supper in our room.
