Mother, Mary, Geo. Jr. & I spent
the day with Miss Perry and
had a very nice time. Letter from
Marnie S. Have knitted a great
deal today. On my 4th scarf.
Wednesday, May 22, 1918
Katie took Mary, Geo., Lewis & I out
to see the blood hounds working
way over on the west side. They
are aftger some of our numerous
disturbers. Mother & I gave Bess
Carrington a lavender & white dress
for her birthday today. Went to
a 3 o'clock train to serve ice
cream cones to soldiers. Our first
canteen call for some time. Have
read & knitted this eve. Harry bought
a dear little white silk parasol with
pink ruffles in K. C.
