Made brown bread ice-cream this
morning. Took some over to Katie
& Geo. this evening. Made 12
button holes in Mary's little panties
this afternoon & darned. When
Mary awoke from her nap, she,
Mother & I called on Mrs. McKee.
Went to see Helene & her baby.
The war news looks the best
ever tonight.
Tuesday, Oct. 1, 1918
Bake a sponge cake. Made fruit
gelatin & got up a real nice
dinner. Had teh girls in my
dinner of the Canteen come
this afternoon and hem our blue
veils to be worn at the Canteen.
We had a real pleasant afternoon.
Received announcement of [Lewis'?]
wedding.
