Memoranda
Dec. 25. Katie gave me a silk
camisole. Mrs. Johntz sent me several
yards of beautiful Cuban lace. Then
there were many other nice gifts
along the way. all the family
including Mrs. Hart & Bessie were
at George's for dinner & the rest
of the day -- 14 in all. Katie had
a lovely dinner & her table was
beautiful both at noon and in
the evening with many red
candles burning. Mary was too
sweet all day. So good. I'm sure
her first Xmas was a delight
to her. She was as happy over
everything. There was nothing
to mar the whole day.
