                   Camp near Harpers Ferrey

                            Oct 11th 1862

Dear Loide

                I received your letter the

day before yesterday. And was pleased to

learn that all were well.

Things with us gou on about the same

every day alike in camp, Except Sundays

when there is no drilling or fatuige duty

except dress parade and inspection.

Jim is fretting that he dont receive

a letter from some of the folks, or [Curico?].

Tell [Tave?] if you please that he has not

received an answer to the last two

he wrote her. What is the reason I dont

get one from [Tave?] [or] some of the rest?

You said not one word in your last

about them, with the exception of Mother,

and did not know wither she was

in Gloucester or not, dont you ever
