Dear Eliza

           I received a letter from

you last evening and one from Tave.

But I dont see how it is your letters

dont come to hand. there must be blun

dering somewhere. Whoe is that Henery

Johnston you gave that letter to. not

Henery Whit Johnston I hope, please tell

me when you write. But never send letters

bu private hands for if we ever gett

them they are older then the north Stare

and its better to send by mail if  you

can rase a stamp. you may send Most

under [flaniels?] when you send the box

but wait untill you hear from me

again and I will tell you what to

send. and how to send it. there is

quite a number of boxes on the road

now for our fellows, and have been

for the last month. but there is sutch

large trains on the road all [the?] time
