    I received yours of the 26th this

morning. Also Postage Stamp, and linen rag

but what in Heaven's name did you suppose

I wanted of that rag. and it cost 3 cts extra

too, Always recolect as I have toled you

before, that there is no need of sutch

things in such a place as this and in fact

no where else, bandges to very well, and

of course are indispenceable, but there is

no need of sending them in letters, I received

you letter with the tea in it, and the

tea is in my pocket, now or what there

is left of it, last winter Mother sent

me a very little pepper, to put in my

eyes or mouth to keep me awake, on

guard I suppose, I never knew what.
