there's not much use in dodging. The weather is very warm

but we generaly have a good breeze, so the men do not suffer

so much from the heat as they did in Va.

But it is half past two oClock and the mall leaves Head

Quarters at three. so I must hurry up and bid you

good by for the present. Kiss the Children for me and

accept a few for yourselfe while you are about it.

Give me love to all the folks. and write as often as

posible. We are on the reserve to day but we may be sent

of on some flank movement or other. and we may stop

there all night. So once more good by and pleasant

dreams.
