Gloucester Mar. 25th 1863

Dear Eliza Ann,

I was not at  home

when you letter came; but had

been out of town. When I came

home, found three letters for

me. One was from Mary

Alley telling of Frank's sicknesss.

I am very sorry he is sick.

Aunt Abby has certainly seen a

great deal of sorrow.

Austin has been afflicted severely

also.  He lost a boy of about the

age of ten just after James died.

I may, perhaps, write to him, but

if I do not give my love to him

and Mary E. and assure them

of my sympathy.

I hope Aunt Susan has re-

covered her usual health.
