I hope she will come to Gloucester. 

H. Hurd has not been well

since here last child was born; 

it is a boy, and they are much 

pleased 

Army life agrees with your 

husband I think, if he is 

gaining so much.  He is very 

fortunate to b e so well. 

Mrs. Rebecca Elwell died about

a week ago; she came pretty 

near dying alone in the house
