Saturday the 28th quite a
display of sleighing was
going on. I soon fixed up
one & put my horses to it,
& we rode nearly all
day, such a thing has not
been seen in Camden for
a great many years, indeed
this has been an unusually
severe winter with us. The
farming operations have
been very much retarded
in consequence of the bad
weather, & now the 1st Feb finds
little or nothing done.
My crop last year was
an average one, tho' not what
I at one time expected, the
prices have been good the
entire season & I now have
