            Camp Fenton Washington March 6th

Dear Sister

                    I feel almost ashamed

to write to you on account of my long

delay but never mind it is better late

than never  I should have written before

but could not get a chance to get

my picture taken. and I did not want

to write to you without sending that

to you  I got it taken to day I was

in such a hurry that I did not

take much pains with my arms or dress

nor did I give them time to fix it

verry good but I will send it along

I received your picture safe it is needless

for me to tell you how glad I was

to get it  I shall keep it safe I will

asshure you I shall have it put into

a case.  I an well at present and I

hope this will find you enjoying thes

same blessing the weather is verry
