we have a bible class this evening
we have them twice a week the
Chaplain has been in twice I believe
I have read my bible most thorough
since I have been in the service we
were mustered for pay the last of
Feb but we have not been paid yet
Washingtons birth day was celebrated
here and in the city they had
splendid fire works there was a continual
roar of cannon through the day the
city was illuminated in the evening
the boys are telling stories in our tent
and enjoying themselves first rate
the [?] for writing is verry poor
my desk is my knee so you must
overlook errors and answer as soon
as you receive yours in haste
