how I spent my time seeing that I am not with

the regt  Well I will try and tell you

qe get the daily papers here and they take some

of my time a party of us goes out target shooting

with our revolvers in the afternoon yesterday I got

the best target and I calculate to to day  I think

I can hit a sesesh at the distance of one hundred

yards about evry time with the revolver  I got out my

sabre the other day to go through the exersise

but I found that there was not strength enough

in my arms yet to make it [buz?] as I want it

should when I go through the exersise I would

join our regt now but they are ordered to

Warrington Va that is on the advance of Gen

Popes army and if I was with them I should

be put on picket duty and I do not want to run

the risk of a battle with the rebs until I get

my strength again our regt has splendid horses
