Dear Sister
I received your
very kind letter yesterday I
was somewhat surprised to
receive your letter so soon
I had not dared to look for it
yet it found me quite well
and enjoying myself as well
as as a soldier can and that is
pretty well whill we are not
in the field or on the advance
we have been disapointed again
about getting our horses they were
bought for us and fetched to
