My dear bad Cousin

 

                      I received

your truly welcome letter,  I am

so glad you got back safe from

the [raligh?].  I felt rite uneasy a

bout you.  Fanny wrote you were

very unwell, but as it happened

you got back safe,  you should

be very thankful for I think

you are a lucky dear boy, don't

you think so? and evry boddy

seems to like you so much [on?]

the Bladen, the Brown Marsh rather

you seem to be a particular favorite 

Cousin Joe you ought to have

been here at our big preaching

it commenced fryday and lasted

untill Monday evning, the Lennons

were at it, but they did'nt stay a night

with me.  You would would'nt you dear?
