My dear Wife

               I recd your very kind

letter last Wednesday, and was very

glad to hear from you, you closed with

"good night" and my darling you cant

tell how heartily I wished you the good

night. just as much in Earnest do I.

love you, as when I first Kissed you on

the cheek and made you happy, and

because my appetite has since made

us both very unhappy - it does not

follow that we should always be
