                 Akron Oct 27th 1861

Dear friends

                Acording to agreement

I will write you a few

lines to let you know that

I arrived safely here had

good luck in coming and

came very quick I was with

my friends to dinner the

next day after I left you

I have enjoyed my self very

well since I came here there

is not much chance for getting

lonesome here we have company

or go all the time it is quite

a change from the prarie

we have the war news evry

day they are doing considerable

for the Soldiers here they have
