where Mr M_____. is I thought I would

like to see him or some one that I knew

and when I got to camp Douglas we were

so tired we could not go any farther, I returned

to the college monday morning I tell  you it was lonesome

after having such a nice time. You say it is awful

lonesome there I expect it is. I dont believe I would want

to go back to stay, but I would like to see you

all and be with you all the time. never mind

perhaps this war will be ended by the time

I will be there to stay. The tardy bell has rung

and I will have to go to bed so Good night Dear

Celia, I will try and write more in the morning.

   It is morning and I awoke by hearing that

everlasting old bell, which they ring every morning

about half an hour to wake us, well I do not

feel very well this morning I have such a cold

but I guess I will feel better after I have been

up awhile. You said you wanted me to write

to sombody for fun, I will write if you think

it would be right (would he think I was

doing wrong? or not) and I want you tell me

something to write because I would not know what

to say to him and if you will tell me a little

I can think of the rest.
