Dear Daughter
We received your letter yesterday
was glad to hear from you, and hope you
will succeed well in teaching and getting
schollars, I called to Mrs Mathews as I
came from sunday school and got the
patterns and have drawn them, The satin
is worth 62cts for 3/8 yard which is just
the size of a piece, Mrs M says you had
not better try to teach that screen at first
for fear you might make some mistake
Write me how many schollars you have
got and whether you have the promise
of any more, are you boarding with
a church family and what do you pay
a week for board keep us posted about your
business, Mrs Mathers played for the sunday
school today, there were 5 babies baptised
in church this morning, 2 of them came 12
miles from the country and the other 3 were
from the coal mines, we are all well
