I think you cannot reflect

upon yourself for Richard's

failures. We did what we could

for him but latterly he kept

aloof from us knowing as he

did that Dell disapproved of his

course. He was his own worst

enemy poor fellow I hope he

is saved at last We must

trust him with his merciful

God, who knew his weaknesses

and his tempatations. I should love

to see you very much.

Give my love to your parents

& sister and receive my love

and sympathy. I shall be

glad to hear from you when
