Dear Brother,

I have delayed writeing to you for some

months past.  I have heard from you only twice since

you was here once by Mr Heller and then by Mr Price who

was in Petersburg a short time ago  I have thought to have

received something from you long ago but it dont make

its appearance yet, how strange, but prehaps your family

require so much attention that you have not time or

otherwise they are so interesting you have forgotten us,

there has been some little change in the family since you

was here  I was married about a year ago to Electa.  I

should have sent you an invitation but I understood

when you left you never intended to come amoung us

again, but I am very sory to think those that ought

to be frindly should act otherwise.  I bought the Looms

and other things necessary [?] Mr. King for George

and now he is a doing a pretty snug little business

in the same place,  John left about the same time and

went to Bridgeport, he was here and made us avisit on the

new year holdiays, since I have received a letter from him

and he states he is well.  we removed from our old place

in Church St last april unto no six Columbia Street,

business is pretty brisk for this season of the year I am

at work for Mr. Vanderworken yet, though his business

is not quite as brisk as it was when you was here last

Mr. Lloyd has left him and I believe he has taking a

situation in Philadelphia were he intends doing heavy work

Money is pretty hard to obtain in town as usual, but I think it
