13. MARDI. S. Hippolyte.
Arose at 8 A. M. Worked until 3 P.M.
Packed up offices. Took charge of 10
trucks for moving. Loaded trucks at
4:30. Had sup. at 5 P.M. Started for
La Ferte sous Jouarre at 7:15 P.M. Arr.
at 8:45 P.M. Waited in yards for train.
Train did not pull in until 4:10
next morning.
14. MERCREDI. S. Eusèbe.
Had to see that nine trucks were
unloaded into cars. Hdqrs. troops
loaded their stuff. Got train
loaded at 5:15 A.M. It pulled
out at 6:20 A.M. Passed thru Nanteuil
sur Marne; Chateau Thierry; Dormane; Epernay;
Joinville; Vitry Le François; Troyes;
Bricon; landed in Chatillon at 9:50 P.M.
Rode all the way in box car. Detrained at
10:30 P.M. Had to load (9) trucks. Got my trucks
loaded and started for Mussey-sur-Seine at 11:45.
Arrived at 12:45 midnight, Found Chateau.
Saw that all trucks were unloaded. Went back to
Chatillion in Dodge for bedding roll. Got back at 3 A.M.
