23rd                   342 Days

Day                      to come

20º     Dr. Francis Green died to-day

dull, very windy.  Boys at Dr. [Heath-

cote?] & Harvey Worthington Tump.  Dad still

trying to get apple stump out.  hard work.

I finished ironing & put things away.

Boys at Owen [Tylis?] after lunch with

tank.  Dad finally got rest of stump

out by supper time.  I cut up some

[w?] saw to burn in stove in shop.

Larry over in House sweeping up

a little raining by night & very

windy.  About 8 Earl over to 

Grange to practice with boys

(singing).  Ethel called about

9-30 telling us Dr. Green 

had died suddendly this

morn.  A nice way to go , but

he will be missed by a lot of [???]
