Happy Navy Day! At 2:00
this afternoon Williamsburg
turned out with a big parade of
marines and Seabees and
impressive celebrations in front
of Wren. Governor Darden
spoke; Navy officials appeared
impressive and Station WRVA
broadcasted. The Chaplains Choir
sang and I beamed on them;
twas indeed wonderful - -
patriotism – inspiring! The
Chaplains sang "The Lord's
Prayer" beautifully.
Classes floated around - -
I missed some of Statistics
on account of the parade - -
and we went to Chapel - -
otherwise no excitement –
no mail or anything.
